If you can pay attention for five minutes without getting your panties in a bunch with your knee-jerk, “I hate Michael Moore” reaction - calm down and check this out. He told this (historically accurate - look it up) anecdote on Bill Mahr’s “Real Time” tonight. As a middle-class person, originally from the working class, I appreciate this. I wish we had a President that did this stuff now. As it stands - the last President and the current, do not take care of America’s vets.
(I’m a Registered Independent. I’m not a Democrat or Republican or Tea-Party. I’m a Liberal, Progressive, Peace person so I vote whoever is closest to that.)
During WWII, December 27th, 1944 the Chairman of Montgomery Ward refused to pay the war tax, he wouldn’t negotiate with the union and FDR sent in the National Guard and arrest him. Here it is:

These days during wartime - kids are dying in Afghanistan and Iraq - poor kids who join the military. The benefits are not what they used to be. And Exxon didn’t pay a dime in taxes this year. Poor people are propping up the rich. If you don’t see that - because you’re beholden to a news network or a party before you’re beholden to the American way and your own personal sense of morality - I hope you never vote.
